So last month it was my daughter's turn to celebrate her birthday. She was beyond excited about having a princess party -you know how it's with little kids, they start thinking about their next birthday as soon as the current one is over LOL!
While the kids were doing gymnastics, I had a little bit of time to get set up... I made the birthday banner with my friend's
cricut machine. I found the butterflies on sale at Market Street. I didn't take a good picture of it but those are cake pops in the far right corner. This was my 3rd attempt and by far my best one -by then I had received Bakerella's
Cake Pops Book and it made a huge difference on my results.
For the sugar cookies, I used
Cookie Craft's recipe. Super easy and yummy as well...
This was the first time I decorated a cake. The top layer is chocolate with a little orange flavor and the bottom layer is strawberry. I used
Paula Dean's recipe and let me tell you it's delicious!
